Chabot College is a learning-centered institution with a culture of thoughtfulness and academic excellence, committed to creating a vibrant community of life-long learners. The formation of a “junior college district” was approved by the voters on January 10, 1961, and the first board of trustees elected on April 18, 1961. Chabot opened for classes on September 11, 1961, on a 7.5-acre (30,000 m2)

It’s been one week since Commencement, and we’re still holding onto the energy, the pride, and the moments that made it unforgettable.

From walking across the stage to celebrating with family, friends, and the Chabot community, our graduates marked a milestone shaped by dedication, resilience, and growth.

*Images depict a variety of photos in the format of Polaroid pictures, with text on the first screen reading “Class of 2026”. Some photos show graduates alone smiling at the camera, some show graduates walking and smiling at friends and family, and other photos show graduates with other graduates or their own supporters.*
