As historians, we examine the stories, movements, and individuals who have challenged barriers, advocated for change, and expanded our understanding of the past. This month, we celebrate the contributions and histories of LGBTQ+ communities and recognize their lasting impact on society.

Pride Month Spotlight: Marsha P. Johnson
Marsha P. Johnson was a Black activist, performer, and advocate whose work helped shape the gay rights movement. A prominent figure in New York City's LGBTQ+ community, Marsha was dedicated to supporting marginalized individuals and fighting for equality.

Celebrating excellence at the 9th Annual Wanda Washington Student Conference Awards Ceremony 🎓✨
As part of this incredible event, students were recognized for their hard work and achievements through awards and scholarships, and many were proudly inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society.
