At Aprende Academy Pre K, we know transitions can be one of the biggest challenges for young children.

When it’s time to move from a favorite activity to the next part of the day, a simple countdown isn’t always the most effective tool. Young children are still developing their understanding of time, so “5 more minutes” can feel confusing rather than helpful.

Instead, we support smooth transitions by:

• Acknowledging what children are enjoying.
“You’re building such an amazing tower.”

• Focusing on what’s coming next.
“After centers, we’ll head outside for playground time.”

• Offering simple choices.
“Would you like to walk to circle time or tiptoe like a mouse?”

Campers are exploring all things summer through engaging activities that encourage movement, creativity, and collaboration. From exercise and music to teamwork-focused games, each day is filled with opportunities to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and stay active while having fun.
