After a week full of amazing recipes, we wrapped things up with a local favorite: homemade mini malasadas. Warm, sweet, fluffy, and impossible to resist, they were the perfect way to end another fun week in the kitchen! 🍩🔥👩‍🍳

To wrap up our first week of Summer Studio Shaka, we’re excited to share some of the Media Club’s highlights as they captured the beauty of Hilo’s most iconic landmarks! 📸🌺

From the shores of Coconut Island to the scenic views at Boiling Pots, and everywhere in between, our students explored the beauty of our hometown through their cameras.

We had an amazing time photographing these special places and creating memories we’ll always be able to look back on. ✨🏝️🫶🏾

DAY 3 of Summer Studio! 📸🧁☀️

After spending the morning exploring Hilo and photographing some of our favorite spots around town, we wrapped up the day with a sweet treat in the kitchen!

Chef Sam’s class baked chocolate muffins and let their creativity shine, decorating each one however they wanted. From colorful sprinkles to candy toppings, every muffin became its own delicious edible masterpiece. 🍫✨

Today the class brought a true culinary classic to life with crispy golden crab Rangoon 🤤🔥 Big mahalo to Chef Stu for continuing to share these incredible recipes and helping us level up in the kitchen every session, grateful for the knowledge, the flavors, and the experience 🙌

Last week we had the honor of visiting our state capitol 🏛️ for Hawaiʻi’s Senate Education Week and we are so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to represent our school. Mahalo nui loa to everyone who made this possible and to all who showed us such aloha. 🤙🌺
