A great Toastmasters meeting. 👏

This week at Holly Springs Toastmasters, our theme was “Your Best Friend and How You Met,” reminding us that some of the most meaningful connections begin with a simple conversation.

When our agenda shifted, members jumped in and made the evening a success. Dr. Kelsie Fabrizi delivered an impromptu speech on public relations strategies, sharing lessons from World Champion of Public Speaking Lance Miller and how he helped grow his club to more than 95 members through intentional outreach and member engagement.

Our Toastmaster of the Day, Adrian Dumas, also took the stage with a speech on the important responsibilities of the Sergeant at Arms, highlighting how strong meetings are built on preparation, service, and leadership behind the scenes.

A special thank you to Anita Goerig for leading Table Topics, Rich Walters for bringing humor, and every member who filled a role, shared feedback, and contributed to another evening of growth.

☀️ Another great night at Holly Springs Toastmasters!

From dreaming big with Frank Tetteh, learning how math can actually be cool with Joseph Collins, and gaining practical financial insights from Sajan Devan’s “Tax Buckets,” our members brought a wide range of ideas and inspiration to the stage.

Our theme, “Your Favorite Summer Vacation Spot and Why?”, sparked engaging conversations, while our Word of the Day ~ Idyllic ~ added a little extra vocabulary challenge.

A special thank you to all of our speakers, evaluators, and meeting leaders who made the evening a success. We were also excited to welcome two guests at our meeting!

Last week at Holly Springs Toastmasters, we reflected on the incredible inspiration and leadership lessons from the District 117 Conference while continuing our own communication journeys.

Our speakers challenged us to think about how we communicate, how our bodies speak before we do, and how to break free from overthinking through intentional action.

Marathon, Telethon, Speech-a-thon! 🥳

On April 23rd, Holly Springs Toastmasters hosted a unique meeting with 4 speeches given by our members!

Toastmaster of the Day, Kelsie Fabrizi, flowed through introduction after introduction and our members showed out!

Sajan gave a speech for his DTM project, Anita shared her first ice breaker, Annie enlightened our cohort about mentorship in our club, and Frank brought chills to the room with his powerful testimony to L.I.F.E.

Our quote of the week, “Get comfortable being uncomfortable” could be a second motto for Toastmasters. But that’s because growth happens in discomfort!

On April 16th, Toastmaster of the Day Adrian Dumas took us through our meeting with the theme “Building Rapport.”

This meeting was extra special, because it completed our requirements to meet Smedley Distinguished for 2026! 🥇

We heard from Kelsie completing her Level 3 requirements in her Motivational Strategies pathway. We also celebrated Nandini for giving her very first ice breaker speech! And our third speaker, Lillian, gave us incredible insight in the impact of mentors and mentoring.

We can’t wait to see everyone for another exciting meeting this week!

Happy Birthday Lillian! Truly one of our club’s MVPs! We couldn’t do it without her guidance, mentorship, persistence and encouragement! We hope it was a fabulous birthday and we are so grateful we got to celebrate you! 🥳
