We are a non-profit organization that is fighting to end human trafficking through preventing exploitation, educating the community, and empowering survivors.

We fight so all may live free! https://linktr.ee/united.againsthumantrafficking We aspire for all people to experience freedom and to live beyond bondage to others. We envision a world made up of communities, businesses, faith-based organizations, and governments who are intolerant of consumers and purveyors of human trafficking and actively support the victims until they are restored to freedom.

Why are LGBTQIA+ youth disproportionately vulnerable to grooming and human trafficking?

In this episode of Beyond Awareness, Taylor Woodruff of UAHT and Carrie Rye of Tony’s Place explore how homelessness, identity discrepancies, trauma, and minority stress can increase vulnerability to exploitation.

Join us for an important conversation about “survival sex,” gaps in our support systems, and what it looks like to provide genuine, unconditional support to marginalized young people.

Today, we had the opportunity to provide a human trafficking education session for members of the Coalition of Behavioral Health Services at United Way of Greater Houston.

We are grateful for the partnership and collaboration of this incredible network of providers and were inspired to learn more about the important work they do every day to support individuals and families across our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this continuing education opportunity. We are honored to contribute to the professional development of those on the front lines of care and to work alongside partners committed to strengthening awareness, response, and support for those impacted by exploitation.

Together, we can build a stronger, more informed community response to human trafficking.

On Wednesday, we joined fellow anti-trafficking organizations, community leaders, government officials, and Airbnb in El Paso to celebrate the power of partnership in the fight against human trafficking.

We are honored to be among the recipients of an Airbnb Community Fund donation, which will help strengthen our efforts to educate the community, prevent exploitation, and empower survivors.

One message echoed throughout the day: no one organization can end human trafficking alone. Lasting change happens when nonprofits, businesses, government agencies, and communities come together around a shared purpose.

We are grateful to Airbnb for investing in this work and for believing in the power of collaboration to create safer communities and brighter futures for survivors.

Together, we are stronger. 💙

UAHT began as a coalition, and today was a reflection of that same foundation: people coming together to respond to human trafficking as a community.

Today’s Coalition Meeting brought together member organizations, service providers, advocates, and community members for member spotlights, HT 101, and shared conversation around strengthening our local response.

This work has always been collective. That is what keeps it moving forward. 💙

Human trafficking is often hidden in plain sight, and healthcare professionals are uniquely positioned to recognize the signs and connect individuals to help.

Join our CEO, Timeka Walker, at the Healthcare Leadership Quorum Texas on June 11 as she joins a panel discussion on the intersection of human trafficking and healthcare.

Together, we can strengthen awareness, response, and support for those impacted by exploitation.
