Our Olympic 1 students are in the middle of their frontcountry experience with NatureBridge. They have hiked to Marymere Falls, explored Ruby Beach and are currently prepping to trek into the backcountry. What will the group do next? Follow along for updates.

Our Apostle Islands students are heading into the back country today! Over the next 6 days they will paddle throughout region, camping overnight and exploring sea caves, shipwrecks, and lighthouses! Stay tuned for updates once our students return to the front country.

Meet Uriel Zavala! After three years of volunteering, Uriel’s favorite trail essentials are his inflatable sleeping pad and a stash of campfire ghost stories. He chooses to lead these trips because he’s passionate about teaching students how to treat nature with respect.

His best advice for anyone heading out? Leave the emails behind, embrace the "no-shower" lifestyle, and stay open to the wonder of new challenges. We are so grateful for his dedication to helping our students unplug and explore!

Experience the wild during two-week summer immersion programs in Donner Pass and Olympic National Park. June is officially here which means one thing at The Woods Project: it's time for our two-week summer trips! This summer we are sending students to Olympic National Park, Donner Pass, Breckenridge and Apostle Islands.

Activities on our trips are always planned with fun and adventure in mind! This includes ziplining, kayaking and hiking, all of which give our students the chance to immerse themselves in fun while learning critical life skills.
