The Gamma Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. proudly participated in a Hygiene Drive supporting children in foster care in partnership with community organizations. Through this initiative, sorors donated much-needed hygiene items that included soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, socks, underwear, and hair care products to Aliyah House Children’s Services. These donations helped ensure that children receive essential personal care items that promote confidence, dignity, and overall well-being. Gamma Sigma remains committed to doing the work and continuing its mission of supporting and uplifting the community through meaningful service. 🐩

Your identity is not based on your performance, but on the Father's gracious love. Because of this adoption, Christians are freed from the fear of rejection and are invited to live daily with the confidence of belonging to a perfect heavenly Father. 💙💛 As we continue to serve the Houston community and celebrate 100 years of Greater Service, Greater Progress, the Gamma Sigma Chapter sends a Sigma Shout Out to Soror Terri Williams for our 5th Act of Service at the Houston Food Bank on Saturday, June 13, 2026. 🍎🍽️🥫

Thank you to those that participated in Swim1922, our signature community service initiative by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
in partnership with USA Swimming. 🏊🏽‍♀️ 🥽

Swim 1922 was launched to reduce drowning disparities, it provides water safety education and swim instruction to communities of color, particularly focusing on youth. The program was established to address the critical statistics surrounding swimming and water safety in the U.S. 💙💛

Through hands-on water safety clinics and beginner swim lessons, the campaign teaches swimming as a vital survival skill while promoting the sport competitively. 🩱

National Reach: Since its inception, the program has reached over 100,000 children and adults nationwide. Swimming 🏊🏼‍♂️

💫 Sigma Sunday Scripture 💫

Romans 12:19 instructs believers to refrain from taking personal revenge when wronged. Instead, it commands them to "leave room for God's wrath," trusting that God—the only perfectly righteous and unbiased judge—will administer ultimate justice and retribution in His own timing.
