On June 12, HCC Coleman College for Health Sciences was proud to host the Tropical Medicine Summer Institute (TMSI) from the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.

Students presented digital research poster boards highlighting innovative solutions to global health challenges, including infectious and tropical diseases. This collaboration reflects Coleman College's commitment to hands-on learning, research, and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Bright Futures STEM Camp is an annual collaboration between HCC Coleman College and Prairie View A&M University. The camp concluded on June 11, 2026, with an exciting day of career exploration, mock interviews, a career fair, and a certificate ceremony celebrating students' successful completion of the program.

Throughout the camp, students gained valuable exposure to STEM careers, professional development, and hands-on learning experiences. We are proud of all they have accomplished and are excited to see what’s next.

Bright Futures STEM Camp was every bit as amazing as expected!

Students explored career readiness, strengthened their team-building skills, learned about artificial intelligence, and enjoyed a hands-on drone flying experience using Coding. From discovering future career paths to engaging with emerging technology, the day was filled with learning, collaboration, and excitement.

HCC Coleman College Student Government Association attended SGA Leadership Training that was hosted at HCC Southeast Campus on Friday, June 5, where student leaders strengthened their team-building and communication skills.

A couple of powerful gems that stood out:

"Be where your feet are." Stay present, focused, and fully engaged in the moment.

"When you commit to something, the commitment is not fulfilled until the mission is completed." True leadership requires follow-through, perseverance, and dedication to the end.
