A zany, kooky and devastating new evening-length work by Lydia Hance, performed by the Frame Dance Ensemble.
Hold the Door is a 60-minute piece about the moments we pass through and the figures who meet us there — the friends, the strangers, the parts of ourselves who guard our thresholds. Some let us through. Some don’t. Some demand we leave something behind before we cross.
Performed in the intimacy of the Frame Dance studio, Hold the Door invites a small audience close — close enough to share the air with the dancers, close enough to feel the weight of what’s being held and what’s being let go. Costumes, set, lighting by Ashley Horn.
It’s a little cooky, y’all. Come see the show!

HOLD THE DOOR, June 15 & 16! Intimate space, limited tickets! Don’t wait. We want you there!
Dancers will write their own ballet from the ground up, choosing the story, the characters, the music, and the steps. By the end of the week, dancers will have danced like ballerinas and thought like choreographers — and shared the ballet they created with friends and family.
Part outdoor adventure, part slumber-party-at-the-studio — Glamp Camp is the most magical week of summer. Dancers will set up tents and pillow forts, string up fairy lights, make friendship bracelets, sing campfire songs, and dance their way through a week that’s equal parts wild and cozy. Movement, music, imagination, and just the right amount of sparkle.
This week is all about stepping into your own spotlight. Young dancers will write choreography, find their stage presence, and explore what it means to perform — not by imitating someone else’s star, but by discovering their own. Through age-appropriate movement, music, and a healthy dose of glitter, dancers will build confidence, learn to move with intention, and end the week with a performance they helped create from the ground up.
