PISD Nutrition Services

Today was our final day of Culinary Camp! Our Cooking Cadets prepared a delicious Mediterranean inspired lunch to serve to their friends and family of chicken and vegetable kabobs, roasted eggplant & tomato, fresh pita bread, yogurt sauce, traditional hummus, & fruit tarts! 🫓Students received a certificate of completion and went home with skills we hope will inspire them to continue being cooking cadets in the kitchen!
We are so proud of our young chefs & know they will go far!

Today was our third day of Culinary Camp! Our Cooking Cadets practiced knife cutting techniques, learned table etiquette, and prepared a delicious lunch of chicken fajitas, veggie medley, salsa, olive oil corn tortillas (hechos a mano), & vanilla ice cream! 🫓🐔🍅🧅🍦

We were excited to begin our 3rd annual Culinary Camp today! Our Cooking Cadets learned proper handwashing techniques, planted basil, and prepared a lunch made from scratch of pizza (with homemade sauce and dough), green bean salad, & brownies!

We love empowering students to get in the kitchen at home and make healthy, yet delicious choices at mealtime! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳🍕
