โ๏ธ School may be out, but summer safety is always in session!
Summer is a time for sunshine, adventure, and making lasting memoriesโbut staying healthy and safe helps ensure every moment is enjoyed to the fullest. Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing simple tips to help you and your family stay safe all summer long.
Here are a few simple tips to start:
Stay Hydrated: Drink water regularly throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty. If you're spending time outdoors, take extra water breaks.
Wear Sunscreen: Protect your skin with broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and reapply every 2 hours, especially after swimming or sweating.
Beat the Heat: Choose lightweight, loose-fitting clothing, seek shade when possible, and limit strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day.
Stay Aware: Monitor weather conditions, recognize the signs of heat-related illness, and check in on children, older adults, and others who may be more vulnerable to extreme temperatures.
โจ Stay cool. Stay safe. Stay hydrated. โจ

๐ Mental Health Awareness Month: Prioritize Your Mind, Nurture Your Well-Being ๐
This Mental Health Awareness Month, take time to care for your mental and emotional well-being with the same importance as your physical health.
Mental health is an essential part of overall wellness, and small daily habits can make a meaningful difference.
Prioritizing rest, connection, movement, and nourishment can help support emotional balance, reduce stress, and improve overall quality of life. Remember: itโs okay to slow down, ask for help, and take care of yourself.
Try incorporating these mood-supporting habits and foods into your routine:
Salmon โ rich in omega-3 fatty acids that support brain function and emotional wellness
Dark leafy greens โ packed with nutrients like folate and magnesium that may help support mood and reduce stress
Nuts and seeds โ provide healthy fats and nutrients that support brain health and sustained energy
Supporting mental health starts with creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Small acts of kindness, self-care, and compassion can have a lasting impact on ourselves and those around us. ๐
