This year’s winning team was represented by Ainul Afifi Zafirah and Matthew Kumar from the Professional Science Master’s in Energy Geoscience program. Their hard work, knowledge, and teamwork truly paid off, and we couldn’t be more proud of their achievement.

🚀 Alumni Spotlight: Jayati Roy Choudhury, Bioscience and Health Policy Program

When Jayati enrolled in Rice’s PSM Bioscience and Health Policy program, NASA wasn’t even on her radar. A former bench researcher, she was looking to stay connected to science through a policy lens—but everything changed when she landed an internship at Johnson Space Center.

Today, Jayati serves as a Portfolio Integrator within NASA’s Human Factors and Behavioral Performance Element, building a career she never imagined when she first started the program.

Our Alumni Board had the opportunity to sit down with Jayati to learn more about her journey and how a BHP degree can open doors to unexpected and exciting paths.
