It's a concept from researcher Lev Vygotsky, and it's one of the foundations of how we teach at iBis.
The idea is simple: every child has three zones. What they can already do on their own. What they can do with the right support. And what's still out of reach. The magic happens in the middle — that sweet spot where a child can't quite do it alone yet, but can succeed with a little guidance.

At iBis, our teachers are constantly working to keep every child right there — challenged enough to grow, supported enough to succeed.
