- Leading tool training sessions
- Woodcutting and materials preparation for projects
- Tool maintenance and repair
- Supporting day-to-day tool lending and warehouse operations

Through The ToolBank, nonprofits can borrow dehumidifiers without committing to equipment that may only be needed short-term. Here’s why that matters for sustainability:
▪️Longer equipment life – Professionally maintained tools stay in service longer, keeping materials out of landfills.
▪️Less storage, less clutter – Organizations avoid stockpiling bulky machines that sit idle most of the year.
▪️Mission first – Dollars saved on equipment can go directly toward programs that serve our community.

Our inventory of 48 dehumidifiers saved our partners $42,379 in retail expenses in 2025. Borrowing dehumidifiers isn’t just practical, it’s a responsible way to support resilience, recovery, and resource stewardship in Houston!

Join Prairie View A&M University Extension and the Houston ToolBank for a Disaster Preparedness + Generator Safety Workshop designed to help you protect your family and community during emergencies.

We were thrilled to support the sustainable soccer field project at Mason Park as part of the Impact Houston 26 initiative led by the Harris County - Houston Sports Authority.

The Houston ToolBank helped build a nature discovery play area featuring recycled timber logs, creating a space where kids can explore and connect with the outdoors. Projects like this show what's possible when communities come together to create lasting spaces that promote recreation, sustainability, and neighborhood pride.
