North Academy of World Languages Arts

Today marks the beginning of this year’s Music In Our Schools Month® (MIOSM®) celebrations! For more than 40 years, March has been officially designated by NAfME for the observance of Music In Our Schools Month, the time of year when music education becomes the focus of schools and communities across the nation.

We encourage you and your chapters to learn more about Music In Our Schools Month and explore the variety of advocacy and practical classroom resources available now at nafme.org/miosm. Tag in social media sharing how your chapter is celebrating and include

The 7th and 8th-grade band and orchestra students had the opportunity to attend the educational performance by Black Violin, an enriching experience that highlighted the potential of their craft. Comments from students, such as aspiring to perform on stage with Black Violin and discovering a newfound appreciation for a particular instrument, underscore the impact of this event. Providing students with exposure to the arts enhances their educational experience and fosters growth. Appreciation is extended to Blumenthal Arts for hosting the event and to the Arts & Science Council for funding the trip.

Big shout out to our amazing 8th grade Narwhals Musicians that were selected to play in CMS’s Honors Band this weekend!! Less than 12 hours of rehearsal and they had an amazing concert.
