Coach Lisa Pérez returns to Lee High School Soccer after serving as an assistant coach for both the boys' and girls' soccer programs last season. This year, she will lead the Lee High School Boys Soccer Program as Head Coach. A former multi-sport athlete, Coach Pérez attended NEHS and graduated from Geneva High School, where she competed in track and field, basketball, and competitive dance. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, she continued her athletic career at Rochester Institute of Technology, where she played Division III basketball and earned a degree in ASL Sign Language Interpreting Education in 1997. Coach Pérez has spent more than a decade supporting soccer throughout Madison County, including volunteering with NASC as a dedicated soccer parent. Today, she serves the FamiLEE as an ELL Interventionist while continuing her studies in English Language Learning at Athens State University. Passionate about student success, Coach Pérez is committed to fostering growth both in the classroom and on the soccer field. Guided by the belief that students should "learn today so they can lead tomorrow," she strives to develop confident learners, athletes, and leaders. This season, Coach Pérez is excited to welcome Assistant Coach Maya Pérez to her staff. A distinguished Lee High School graduate and former Oakwood University soccer player, Coach Maya Pérez brings valuable experience and a strong connection to the Lee High School community.

She was also a member of Lee’s Class 6A State Champion 4x100-meter relay team.

Following high school, Pride continued her soccer career at the University of West Alabama, where she became one of the most accomplished players in program history. Her collegiate accomplishments include:

Coach Pride earned her degree in Business Administration while excelling both on the field and in the classroom.

She says “I am honored and excited to return to my alma mater and be back with my FamiLEE. Lee High School played a major role in shaping me into the person, student, and athlete I am today. My goal is to build a culture of excellence, accountability, and belief within our soccer program. I want our players to understand that we can compete with anyone who steps onto the field against us. Most importantly, I want to develop excellent students and young women who represent Lee High School with pride in the classroom, in our community, and on the soccer field. I am happy to be home!”
