Summer may be underway for students, but our commitment to school safety never takes a break.

Recently, we hosted a multi-agency safety walkthrough and planned preparedness training involving Madison County Schools, the Madison County Sheriff's Office, local fire departments, and EMS.

These collaborative exercises help strengthen coordination, communication, and preparedness between schools and emergency personnel.

School safety remains a shared commitment of our Superintendent Mr. Kubik, the Madison County Board of Education, and our public safety partners. Through ongoing planning, training, and preparedness efforts, we continue working together to provide safe and supportive learning environments for every student and staff member.

This walkthrough was a planned training exercise and is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen preparedness across all of Madison County.

We are grateful for the continued partnership and support of the Madison County Sheriff's Office, our local fire departments, EMS personnel, and all those who dedicate their time and expertise to helping keep our schools safe.

We remain committed to doing the work today that helps us be prepared for tomorrow.

We know it's only the first day of June, and school supplies are probably the last thing most families want to think about right now... πŸŽ’ πŸ–οΈ βœ‚οΈ ✏️

But if you happen to spot some great sales this summer, or simply like to plan ahead, we've made it easy for you!

School supply lists for participating Madison County Schools are available on our website:

πŸ–οΈ https://www.mcssk12.org/mcss-family-center/school-supply-lists πŸ–οΈ

Any items marked "optional" are classroom wish-list donations requested by teachers and are not required but are greatly appreciated.

Note: if your school's page does not include a supply list, it may be because supplies will be provided by the school, or because classroom-specific information will be shared closer to the start of the school year.

In those cases, we recommend students come to school on the first day with a few basic supplies and wait for guidance from their teachers regarding any additional needs.

Whenever the time is right for your family, you'll know exactly where to find your school's information when you're ready.
