This is a Huntsville City Schools Pre-K through 5 elementary school. Ridgecrest is a Title I school located in southwest Huntsville, AL.
We are a 1:1 digital school which means that all students in grades 3-5 are issued laptop computers. Students in grades 1 and 2 have classroom iPads. Our Pre-K and Kindergarten classes have shared use of iPads. Our current enrollment is 643 students. The personnel at Ridgecrest consists of 46 certified teachers and 36 classrooms. Also included in the faculty is a full-time Reading Coach, Curriculum Specialist, TOSA, gifted and talented teacher, ELL teacher, nurse, and computer technician.

Both our counselor Mrs. Walker and our ESL interventionist Dr. Bedwell are retiring after many extraordinary years teaching and working with children. Congratulations to our May Teacher and Support Staff Member of the Month!!
Our Support Staff Member of the Month is Nurse Sherry!! She has been at Ridgecrest for two years and has a huge heart for our students. She is always available in a pinch for anything our students need, big or small. Nurse Sherry is a gem!
Our Teach of the Month is Mrs. Wade-Beebe, ESOL Teacher. She works diligently with our English learners and they all love her. She was a complete rockstar during testing and is an amazing team player. She is an integral part of our Ridgecrest team!
