We are building our future teachers while they are in high school. Today a group of students visited Ball State University to learn about their education pathway. They also visited dorms for after high school and all the opportunities on campus. These students will begin their teacher education program while in high school! Field experience starts NOW! Using resources available at Ball State to create interactive lessons starts NOW! These future educators are currently being paid to work as summer tutors. At GEO we are excited about our future classroom teachers because we already know how amazing they are as students!

Summer Learning Lab is more than just traditional academics. Our scholars are having experiences in robotics, art, theater, sports and drones. It is a great summer to be an Eagle!

Very nice two-page spread in Sunday’s Indy Star discussing Indy’s ed reform efforts and the new governance structures established by the legislature this past year. The article features students, staff and parents at GEO Next Generation Academy - Indianapolis and includes some very nice pictures.

The new Indianapolis Public Education Corp will control all buildings and transportation within Indianapolis Public Schools. It will also control all related funding. The hope is that it will create equitable funding between traditional IPS schools and charters. We are hopeful.

Hello GEO Families!

We are excited to announce that GEO Next Generation Academy will be offering two opportunities for students to receive FREE sports physicals for the upcoming school year!

Students in grades 7–12 who plan to participate in school athletics must have a current IHSAA sports physical on file with the school in order to participate. This requirement applies to all athletic programs, including dance and cheer.

Important: Parents/guardians should complete the medical history portion of the IHSAA Physical Form prior to arriving for the appointment. The physical packet may be downloaded using this LINK or picked up at either the elementary school or high school office. Exams will take place in the teacher's lounge at GEO Next Generation Academy Elementary School.

Free Sports Physical Clinic Dates:

📅 Tuesday, June 16 | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
