A journey through history, connection, and learning in Ghana.
Alongside Dr. Eric Kyere and Yvonne Fitzgerald, students began their experience in Accra before visiting powerful historical sites like the slave dungeons and exploring Kakum National Park. They also engaged in meaningful dialogue with students and faculty at the University of Accra and presented at IU Gateway Ghana on topics including global solidarity, Black reproductive health, and racialized capitalism in health care.
Experiences like this go beyond the classroom, shaping how students understand the past, engage in the present, and think about their role in building a more just and connected world.
