A new partnership with Noble is taking UIndy art therapy students into the community while creating meaningful opportunities for adults with disabilities.

Emily Van Veld ’26 (Mental Health Counseling, Art Therapy) and Breanna Emmett ’24 (Art, Creative Writing) are both helping Noble Art clients use creative processes-from painting to beading-to communicate, process emotions and work toward individualized goals.

"I really hope that in the future more Greyhounds can follow my footsteps, and we can continue to provide great services for folks with disabilities in Indiana,” said Van Veld. “My internship at Noble has been really helpful for me to step into my own and really feel confident about being a future mental health counselor and art therapist."
