A good dojo knows how to spar in ways that strengthens the trust and bond amongst their students as they walk their martial arts path together. Stoked to see how well they learn to communicate and work together in their training.

MARTIAL ARTS IS NOT JUST FOR KIDS! I’ll say that again, martial arts is NOT just for kids!
And when we say we train people at ALL levels of ability we mean it. I want to celebrate my birthday by giving a gift to those out there who might be hesitating to join a dojo because they think they are too old or not fit enough.
I am a total couch potato! If I could chill on a couch all day, I would. I’ve never been a major athletic person, hitting gyms, or running marathons. I prefer what I call “accidental exercise”. Something I have fun doing and don’t realize I’m getting in shape. Karate has absolutely been that for me! It can be for you, too. We meet you at your current ability and work at a pace you won’t be overwhelmed by.
I know karate is not only good for my long term physical health, but also my mental health! I have gained a level of confidence I never had before, ability to treat myself with kindness through struggle, self reflection, and emotional regulation skills - something I think we can admit most of us could still use help with even as adults 😂
Best of all, I have found friendships and a community that truly cares and supports my journey. I share all this because I want that for you! I’m hopeful, by being vulnerable, I can inspire even just one person to be vulnerable too and step on the mat for the first time. I promise you won’t regret it!
