This insightful idiom loosely means you can’t judge a book by its cover or, differently phrased, appearances can be deceiving.

Have a great Monday, and don’t forget: everyone you meet might be going through something, so don’t judge a book by its cover!

Pierre Soulages, leading French abstract painter, has died at 102. The painter, printmaker, and sculptor was renowned for his love of the colour black, and spent a lifetime exploring its shades and the light within it.
"I love the authority of black, its severity, its obviousness, its radicalism," he once declared.
The masterful artist will be missed.
