Wrapped in Warmth, Wrapped in Love! ๐งก
Our Umoja students at Geta Comprehensive School recently received blankets thanks to the generosity of our Umoja supporters. What may seem like a simple gift provides comfort, security, and warmth for children and families who need it most.
The students and staff at the school expressed their heartfelt gratitude through a beautiful poem, reminding us that every act of kindness can make a lasting
difference in a child's life.
"From hearts at Geta, we lift our voice,
With grateful songs, we now rejoice,
Umoja Foundation, your kindness shines so bright,
Seven warm blankets, a gift of light.
To children in need, your hands did reach,
With gentle care and love to teach,
In every thread, your compassion stays,
A warmth that brightens their nights and days.
May blessings follow all you do,
For every life youโve carried through,
From Geta School, our thanks we send,
A faithful partner, a caring friend."

These items are important in supporting our students' health, dignity, confidence, and ability to focus on their education. The smiles and gratitude shared throughout the day were a powerful reminder that even simple acts of generosity can make a lasting impact.
Thank you to Umoja for investing in the well-being of these young learners and helping them thrive. ๐

โThe Northminster Presbyterian Church group had an amazing experience at the Umoja Project in Kenya. They felt surrounded by the love of all the students, teachers, guardians, and staff. It is hard to pick just one highlight for the week, but one of the most memorable times was when the group visited Uradi Comprehensive School, which is the school that they sponsor,โ said Denise Soltis, Executive Director for Umoja Partnership.
As the Northminster group begins their journey home to the United States today and tomorrow, we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers for safe travels. Thank you for sharing your time, hearts, and love with the Umoja community. The relationships built and memories made will have a lasting impact on everyone involved.
Safe travels, friends. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! ๐งก

๐๐ป A major milestone achieved!
Last week Friday, marked the successful conclusion of a four-day training and implementation exercise with the installation, configuration, and customization of the Koha Library Management System for the Reason 2 Smile Library in Kenya.
The system is now fully operational and ready for use, bringing improved organization, efficiency, and access to library resources for students, staff, and beyond. This investment will help strengthen library services and support learning for years to come.
A special thank you to our supporters for their expertise, dedication, and support in making this project a success! ๐

๐ ๐ A new home, a new beginning.
Jane Agoo and her two children, Victor and Junior, were living in a home that offered little protection from the elements and that provided many daily challenges. Today, thanks to the generosity of the Northminster Presbyterian Church team and Umoja supporters, they have a safe and secure place to call home.
This new house provides more than shelterโit brings hope, dignity, and a brighter future for the entire family.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this life-changing gift possible!
