Academic excellence and biblical wisdom prepare students to succeed and impact the world. That intention continues to this very day.

Heritage was founded in 1965 with the specific intention to provide an environment where students can grow spiritually and intellectually. As a Christian school we recognize the distinction between the eternal and the temporal; between the spiritual and the material; between the lasting and the fleeting. Heritage’s emphasis is to teach, model and cultivate for everlasting spiritual growth in our s

Reyna Eckel is living out a full-circle Heritage story.

While soccer takes center stage this summer, we’re revisiting a story from the Spring 2026 Heritage Messenger about one of our own.

Reyna is a 2017 Heritage alum, current sixth-grade teacher, and state championship-winning girls’ soccer coach. And now she pours into the same classrooms and athletic spaces that helped shape her as a student.

In the feature, Reyna reflects on the girls’ soccer team’s state championship season, her deep Heritage roots, and the role faith plays in how she leads, teaches, and coaches.

We’re so thankful for the legacy Coach Eckel continues to build at Heritage!

Our 5th and 6th grade students recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Historic Virginia!

Students had the opportunity to connect classroom learning to history as they visited Colonial Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, and Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello.

Throughout the trip, students explored early American history, learned more about colonial life and the American Revolution, and experienced some of the people, places, and events that helped shape our nation’s story.

Experiences like this help bring learning to life beyond the classroom, giving students the opportunity to see history in a meaningful and memorable way.

We are grateful for the teachers, staff, parents, and trip leaders who helped make this experience possible for our students!

Week 2 of Heritage Day Camps was full of creativity, discovery, and fun!

STEM Week was filled with arts and crafts, STEM projects, water activities, outdoor games, and plenty of hands-on fun.

Campers spent the week learning about “The Creator of Creation,” based on Psalm 24:1: “The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the Lord.”

Throughout the week, campers were reminded that everything and everyone belong to God, that we are created to create, and that we are created to be with God now and eternally.

We ended the week with special guests from Heritage Robotics, including student leaders who shared more about robotics and 3D printing.

Our 8th graders are back from an unforgettable educational trip to Washington, DC!

Throughout the trip, students had the opportunity to connect what they’ve learned in the classroom to history, government, civics, and national landmarks as they visited meaningful sites throughout Washington, DC and Gettysburg.

This experience gave students a closer look at the people, places, and events that have shaped our nation’s story, helping bring history to life beyond the classroom.

We are so grateful for the teachers, chaperones, trip leaders, and families who helped make this memorable experience possible for our students!
