The verdict is in! Fourth grade students participated in a mock courtroom trial based on the story The Emperor's New Clothes. Students analyzed texts, cited strong evidence, and worked collaboratively to defend their cases.

Summer Reading Time Machine 2026 is almost here at the Lincoln County Public Library, and this summer is bringing 7 decades of stories, one unforgettable summer!

Citizens Center
Tuesday, June 9
6:00–8:00 p.m.

Join us for games, a live DJ, face painting, and more as we kick off Summer Reading! Register to read and win fantastic raffle prizes this summer.

Weekly Program Themes:

Play Ball! (1967)
Step up to the plate and read your way to the big leagues! Celebrate all things athletic with sports-themed activities, sand art, magnets, sun visors, and great books.

Discover America (1974)
Explore the stories, history, people, and places that make America special. Activities include Oregon Trail adventures, gold panning, pottery design, and more.

Make Tracks! (1988)
Follow the trail of amazing creatures from backyard critters to mighty dinosaurs. Create fossils, amber slime, and discover cool animal books.

Camp Read-a-lot (1994)
Create Venus Flytrap puppets, bottle lanterns, cool terrariums, and dive into stories of outdoor adventures, magical forests, and friendship.

Get a Clue (2000)
Calling all detectives and super solvers! Explore mysteries, whodunits, puzzles, secret decoders, Morse code, and fingerprint crafts.

Fizz, Boom, Read (2014)
Mix reading with science through pendulums, fizzy bath bombs, colorful geodes, books about volcanoes, outer space, creepy crawlies, and more.
