Dear Plaza Vista Families,

I am tremendously excited, humbled, and grateful for the opportunity to transition into the role of Principal at Plaza Vista! From the moment I first stepped foot onto the campus two years ago, PV felt like home. And that feeling only grew once I began getting to know the staff, students, and community. Thank you for that.

Mr. Parker and I are working closely together during this transition time, and I’m grateful that he won’t be too far away in his new role. He helped continue a tremendous legacy here, and I promise to work my hardest to honor and continue that legacy.

I am always available if there is anything I can do to improve your child’s experience here. Creating a school environment where students are cared for and nurtured is an honor that I do not take lightly, and our partnership is a big piece of that puzzle. So please do not be shy in reaching out :)

The district and I are working together on identifying who PV’s next Assistant Principal will be, and I hope to have an update soon.

I hope you are having a wonderful summer, and I can’t wait to see the kids back here on July 20th. 2026-27 is going to be an amazing year!

Dear PV Community,

It is bittersweet to leave PV to take on a new role at the District Office. Serving this community for the past twelve years has been a profound honor and a source of great joy. PV is home to me, and I am deeply grateful for your unwavering support.

I am confident that PV’s best days are ahead. This school community—our remarkable students, engaged families, generous volunteers, and dedicated staff—is unmatched.

Over the past two years, I have had a front-row seat to Mr. Warren’s leadership, expertise, engagement, and warmth. I am pleased that IUSD has selected him as the fifth Principal of PV. Mr. Warren joined us with the highest of recommendations and has exceeded expectations. He is prepared to be PV's Principal. PV is his dream community to lead... so I am thrilled for his appointment.

Please know that much of the preparation for the upcoming school year is already in place. I am working closely with Mr. Warren this month to provide my full support and ensure a seamless transition.

Thank you for your partnership and for the privilege of being part of your children’s educational journey. I will be cheering for PV from my new desk at IUSD.

Carson Scholars were honored at San Diego State University!
