True Education:

After hiking up a mountain for 2.5 hours, 2800 feet elevation, I was ready to quit. These Warriors were not. Thanks to their resilience, within 30 minutes we reached Lynn Peak, and were blessed with one of the most breathtaking views in the world! (You can see downtown Vancouver way in the back, but the picture doesn’t do justice!)

The most meaningful and joyful experiences in life seem to always come after the toughest climb.

As Joseph Campbell reminds us, it’s only after the crisis that the Hero, who doesn’t give up, discovers the treasure.

Moreover, I’m here exploring some of the most beautiful places in the world with teenagers who have planned, coordinated, and mostly financed (some of them still need to pay back their parents) this entire trip on their own. Last year it was Alaska, the year before it was Banff, and this year, Vancouver.

Grateful.
