The Keeper of Due Santi

For 30 years, Fabio Cinalli has been the steady, quiet presence behind the University of Dallas Rome Campus.

From the very first semester at Due Santi in 1994 to this summer’s Rome programs, Fabio has helped keep the campus beautiful, welcoming and ready for generations of students, faculty and visitors.

The Moultrie Flag became a symbol of courage when it was raised under fire during one of the Revolution's earliest victories.

As part of UDallas’ celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Assistant Professor of Politics Matthew Cantirino, PhD, explores the flag carried by the South Carolina militia during the Battle of Sullivan's Island in June 1776. Featuring the word “Liberty” and a distinctive crescent emblem, the banner reflected a principle that united patriots across the colonies even before the Declaration of Independence was signed.

Just in time for the 250th anniversary of the United States, University of Dallas triple alumnus and valedictorian Matthew Mehan, BA ’00 MA ’10 PhD ’14, has released The American Book of Fables, a collection of original fables, poems and reflections that invite readers to rediscover the beauty of our country.

"The American Book of Fables is an imitation of the great works I studied at the University of Dallas,” Mehan said. "My education at UD is the only way this book could have ever come to be."
