Looking through old Safety First photos and feeling nostalgic. We've come a long way! This was neat, back in 2013, when we visited First Coast Living and met Nick Loren and Tukz showed him how to do CPR. Great guy! Our Florida First Lady, Casey DeSantis, then known as Casey Black before she married Ron, was also there that day as co-host.

While rare, sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere—including at pools, gyms, hotels, and airports.

Immediate CPR can double or even triple survival chances, but many bystanders feel unprepared to help.

Learning CPR gives you the confidence to act while waiting for emergency responders.

Our next Community CPR AED Certification Course is Saturday, March 28: https://safetyfirstjacksonville.com/register/

Travel snacks, unfamiliar foods, and eating on the go can increase choking risks—especially for younger children.
Knowing how to respond quickly with choking first aid can save a life.

Safety tips:
•Cut food into small pieces for younger children.
•Encourage kids to sit while eating.
•Learn choking rescue techniques for both children and adults.

Organizations like the American Heart Association emphasize that immediate action is critical during choking emergencies.
