π Team Duval Shoutout! π
Weβre celebrating Donna Westrich, a marine science teacher at Duncan U. Fletcher High School, for creating powerful hands-on learning experiences that bring creativity and community to campus! π
This year, her students collaborated on βLenny the Whale Shark,β painting individual cardboard tiles inspired by what they love about the ocean and marine ecosystems. When assembled, the tiles form a stunning mural measuring more than 28 feet long and 9 feet tall.
A nominating staff member shared that the mural is a true reflection of Ms. Westrichβs dedication to her students and her passion for teaching.
Thank you for helping students see that they are part of something bigger and for bringing learning to life in such an inspiring way! π
