1. Worlds of Fun 
Kick off your KC adventure at this fan‑favorite amusement park. Spend a full day riding coasters, splashing at Oceans of Fun, and soaking up summer vibes.

2. FIFA World Cup Fan Fest 
A massive watch party for soccer lovers as KC hosts the FIFA World Cup for the first time in history.  

Location: National WWI Museum and Memorial 
Admission: Free general admission (reserve online)  

3. Stars and Stripes Picnic
KC’s official Independence Day celebration is happening Saturday, July 4. Enjoy local vendors, live music, performances, food trucks, and one of the best fireworks shows in the city. 

Location: National WWI Museum and Memorial
Schedule: Grounds open at 3 PM; fireworks at ~9:40 PM
Admission: Free 

4. Heart of America Shakespeare Fest 
A beloved KC summer tradition. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy Macbeth under the evening sky. 

Location: Southmoreland Park
Dates: June 16–July 5
Days: Tuesday–Sunday evenings
Admission: Free  

5. Nelson-Atkins Lawn Party 
You can’t escape the summer without a good lawn party in Kansas City! Fun for everyone!
