KIPP Endeavor second graders visited the first graders’ Mardi Gras Bakery to shop for their favorite treats, compare prices, and calculate the cost of their selections. This fun, hands-on experience brought math and real-world learning to life while giving our young entrepreneurs a chance to showcase their “bakery creations!”

🎭🧁 Welcome to the Mardi Gras Bakery! 🎉KIPP Endeavor first graders combined creativity, science, and entrepreneurship as they designed their very own imaginative Mardi Gras Bakery! Each student selected unique bakery items, set prices for their products, and proudly "sold" their delicious creations to customers.

Through this hands-on learning experience, students practiced critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving while exploring real-world connections in a fun and engaging way. Our young bakers showed that learning is always sweeter when imagination leads the way!

🥚🚀 More Egg Drop Challenge fun from Mrs. Baska's, Ms. CJ's, and Mrs. Beard's classes! This summer, our students are putting their critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills to the test through Project-Based Learning focused on Scientific Inquiry.

Their challenge? Design and build an Egg Lander capable of protecting an egg from impact when dropped from different heights. Students must plan, test, analyze results, and make improvements based on their findings—just like real scientists and engineers!

Hands-on learning helps students develop collaboration, perseverance, and a deeper understanding of scientific concepts while having fun along the way.

Will their designs survive the drop? Watch and see! 👀🥚💥

🥚⬇️ Will it break or will it survive? Our young scientists put their predictions to the test during a hands-on STEM challenge! Students dropped eggs from different heights and observed what happened, collecting data and comparing results along the way.

This engaging experiment encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry as students learned about gravity, force, and the importance of testing ideas through experimentation.

The best learning happens when students can ask questions, make predictions, and discover the answers for themselves! 🔬✨
