This week our Arts and Advocacy class (one of the electives being taught this summer) visited the Nerman Museum on the campus of Johnson County Community College. Thank you to Nancy, our docent who took us around to various exhibits. We saw Native American art, soccer art that paid homage to migrants who bring soccer with them around the world, art speaking for the environment and natural world, racism, and military dominance. It was a very thought provoking day.

Happy Monday! As we go into week 2 of summer classes, we know some (maybe especially those of us taking psychopathology in 8 weeks rather than 16) are feeling some pressure already. Take care of yourself, but also recognize that discomfort isn't inherently bad. You've got this.

Sometimes, when the world feels heavy or our lives are overwhelming, we forget that that being kind to others can be a restorative activity. Bring a little hope and revolutionary kindness to someone, and see if it makes a difference for you too.
