LIVE THE LITURGY -
“What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light.” We all hear God’s voice whispering in our hearts. Discipleship means speaking those words out loud. We all feel the Spirit sing into our souls. Discipleship means that we dance to the tune.

Today, we celebrate the Feast Day of St. Thomas More, patron of our parish and school community.
St. Thomas More remains a powerful witness to faithful discipleship, courage, and integrity. In a world often shaped by compromise, he stood firmly in the truth of Christ with humility, wisdom, and deep devotion to God.
As a community of faith, may we continue to follow his example by seeking holiness in our daily lives and serving others with compassion and grace.
St. Thomas More, pray for us.

More Than a Golf Tournament | Brotherhood, Faith & the Men of St. Thomas More
Every first Friday in May, something special happens at Eagles Landing Golf Course. Thirty-five teams. Over 130 players. Fairways filled with laughter, friendly competition, and something that's hard to put into words, a community of men showing up for something bigger than themselves.
This is the St. Thomas More Annual Golf Tournament. And if you think it's just about golf, you haven't heard the whole story.
For the past 10 years, parishioner Liam Cahill has quietly organized this tournament as an act of stewardship not for recognition, but because he believes in what St. Thomas More stands for and what it does for families.
This year, the tournament saw its highest attendance since before COVID boosting a strong 139 players. Long-standing sponsors like Muehlebach Funeral Care and Gaughan & Connealy Estate Planning Attorneys have been there year after year, because they believe in it too.
That kind of faithfulness doesn't happen by accident. It happens when a community knows what it's playing for. “It’s important to give back with your talent, time, and treasures,” stated Cahill.
The dollars raised from this tournament ripple far beyond our parish family, helping provide personalized Bibles for every 8th-grade graduate, each inscribed with a handwritten, calligraphed note they can carry into high school and beyond. The funds also support teacher resources, because investing in educators is investing in children; new air conditioners for the school, meeting real and practical needs; the STEAM Lab, which creates innovative learning opportunities for students. This is what it looks like when men put their resources behind their values.
The golf tournament doesn't stand alone. It's part of something deeper, a culture of men at St. Thomas More who are committed to growing in faith together. The Men of St. Thomas More Program, currently being revived by Dustin James Rogge has long been a space where men gather on Friday mornings for faith formation, accountability, and the kind of honest conversation that makes you a better husband, father, and neighbor. Funds from the golf tournament have helped support this very program meaning every swing on the course is also an investment in the spiritual lives of the men in our pews.
Because a man who is rooted doesn't just show up on Sunday. He shows up on Friday mornings. He shows up for his family. He shows up for his brothers.
We live in a world that doesn't always make space for men to be vulnerable, to grow, or to lean on one another in faith. The men of St. Thomas More are building something different, a community where brotherhood is practiced, not just preached.
Where a golf tournament raises Bibles for graduates and laptops for teachers. Where Friday mornings are sacred. Where stewardship is a lifestyle, not a line item.
To Liam, Ed, Dustin, Chip, and every man who has teed up, written a check, or showed up at 6 AM, Thank you for leaving your mark beyond any leaderboard.
Know a man in our parish community whose quiet service deserves to be seen? Tag him below or share this post, let's celebrate the brotherhood at St. Thomas More this Father's Day season.

When God Says Go: How One Mother’s Yes Is Shaping a Generation. How Tori Colombatto stepped up to lead Vacation Bible School and why her gift matters to every family in our community.
Every parish has people who quietly say “yes” when God calls. They may not seek recognition, but their willingness to serve leaves a lasting impact on the lives of others. At St. Thomas More, one of those people is Tori Colombatto.
What began as volunteering at Vacation Bible School (VBS) has grown into a leadership role that is helping shape the faith experiences of children. Through her dedication, creativity, and love for our parish community, Tori has become a guiding force behind one of the most anticipated weeks of the summer.
For Tori, serving at VBS is about much more than organizing activities or coordinating volunteers. It is an opportunity to help children encounter God in a way that is joyful, memorable, and meaningful.
As a mom, she understands the importance of creating moments that help children grow in their faith. Whether through music, crafts, scripture lessons, or simply building friendships rooted in Christ, Tori believes these experiences can have a lifelong impact.
“I hope my children know that they can always talk to God and also be still and listen for God as He speaks to our hearts,” says Tori Colombatto.
Leading Vacation Bible School requires countless hours of planning, recruiting volunteers, coordinating activities, and ensuring every detail supports the mission of helping children grow in faith. It is a significant undertaking, yet Tori approaches it with enthusiasm and trust in God’s guidance. Her leadership reminds us that ministry is often built with people offering their gifts in extraordinary ways.
The impact of Tori’s service will reach far beyond a single week in the summer. Every child who learns a new prayer, every family that feels connected to the parish, and every volunteer who discovers a passion for ministry becomes part of a ripple effect that continues long after VBS ends.
By saying “yes” to God’s invitation to serve, Tori is helping plant seeds of faith that will continue to grow for years to come. Her example challenges all of us to consider where God may be calling us to step forward and share our gifts with others. We are grateful for leaders like Tori whose faith and willingness to serve are helping shape the next generation of parishoners.
Sometimes, all it takes is one person saying “yes” for God to do something remarkable. Are you willing to answer the call with your “yes?”
