Lymphedema Care!
Last Thursday, our 2nd years had the opportunity to learn from lymphedema specialist Dr. Christina Wisdom of Tufts University. During MSK lecture and lab, students explored lymphedema management techniques, practiced compression bandaging on one another, and learned about a variety of compression garments. They also gained hands-on experience with components of manual lymphatic drainage techniques.
Our students were highly engaged and asked thoughtful questions throughout the day. Thank you, Dr. Wisdom, for sharing your expertise and helping make this such a valuable learning experience!

We see Audrey, our RUOT grad! π
Congratulations to the team at SSM Health Neuro Transitional Center (NTC) for earning accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International for its brain injury and stroke specialty programs.
SSM Health NTC fills a vital role in the community, helping patients bridge the gap between inpatient rehabilitation and home. For individuals recovering from traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries, strokes and other complex neurological conditions, this level of care provides a critical next step β helping patients regain independence, rebuild confidence and safely transition back to daily life.
Achieving CARF accreditation is a rigorous, year-long process that demonstrates adherence to the highest quality standards of specialized care and a dedication to continuous improvement in care delivery, program development and service to the community.
