☀️ Summer Academic Program
-Welcome to week 3 of the 2026 Summer Academic Program!

-We will be CLOSED on Friday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.

-The field trip this week
*In-house enrichment with Challenge Island coming to our sites all this week!

*Art, Book Mobile, Cool Kids Chemistry, KC Jazz Orchestra, MADD, PE, Scouting, Soccer, Take The Stage, Temple Made Fitness, Tennis, What If Puppets, KC Water Services Department
*Please check with your site for the specific enrichments happening at your child’s site this week.

-Our field trip next week will be an off-site field trip, with all sites going to the Kansas City Monarchs game on June 24th.

-Welcome to week 2 of the 2026 Summer Academic Program!

-Field trips start this week.
*Sites are split for an off-site field trip (week of June 8th).
*Some sites are bowling, while other sites will be roller skating.

-Enrichments also begin at sites daily this week.
*Art, Book Mobile, Cool Kids Chemistry, HeLeads Workshop, KC Jazz Orchestra, MADD, PE, Soccer, Stem DJ, Take The Stage, Temple Made Fitness, Tennis, KC Water Services Department

-Our next field trip will be an in-house enrichment with Challenge Island coming to our sites next week.

- There are 7 field trip days planned during the 2026 Summer Academic Program

These days vary between in-house enrichments, off-site field trips, and our field day. Our first field trip day is this Monday, June 8th, with our sites split for off-site field trips with bowling and roller skating.

✏️ Student Assessments ✏️

We're a couple of days into the 2026 Summer Academic Program, and we mentioned in Around the Room that student assessments are taking place at our sites this week, but why do we do this?

We use student assessments to determine your child's learning level, and from there, we can meet them at their level and teach them using the Missouri Learning Standards. It's important to know where our students are and how we can help them academically.
