HPKC, flagship program of the Northeast Community Center, brings children together through music! 🎶 We aim to build responsible, productive and caring citizens.

Harmony Project is a research-based, multi-year mentoring program that uses music as a means of positive development and social inclusion. We commit to our students for their entire childhood (K-12), provided they maintain good attendance and remain enrolled in school.

Mr. James and Miss Paola recently represented Harmony Project KC at the 2026 El Sistema USA National Symposium in Houston.

The symposium brought together music educators and leaders from across the country to share ideas, build connections, and celebrate the power of music education. We're excited for them to bring new inspiration back to our community!

⚽🎶 As Kansas City welcomes the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we're reflecting on the ways music helps us connect across cultures.

At our Spring Concert, Harmony Project KC students performed selections from Danzón No. 2 by Mexican composer Arturo Márquez, work inspired by a dance tradition that originated in Cuba and flourished in Mexico.
