🌎 Mr. Pérez joins our High School team as our Spanish Teacher. Originally from Cuba, he holds advanced degrees in Christian Education and Theology and has traveled to more than ten countries, combining his love of language, faith, and learning.

❤️ Mrs. Speer joins Northland Christian as our School Nurse. A Penn Valley Nursing School graduate, she loves spending time with her family, cheering on her youngest son at baseball games, and enjoying the outdoors and Royals baseball.

➗ Mrs. Triggs joins us as a High School Math Teacher and IT Lead. She holds degrees from Missouri State University and Western Governors University and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and embracing life's simple joys.

Several members of the NCS Baseball team were recognized with postseason awards at the conclusion of the season, capped off by senior Joshua Wolf being named the Class 1 Player of the Year. Congratulations to all of our fantastic student-athletes on their achievements.

Four seniors from our state championship NCS Baseball team were invited to take part in the Class 1 vs Class 2 All-Star Game last Saturday. For the second-straight year, Class 1 took home the win with a Trailblazer being named MVP. Caleb Cook tossed two scoreless innings and drove in a run to be chosen MVP. Joshua Wolf, Aidan Dunagan, and Jack Orton each added to the win for Class 1. Head coach Aaron Holst and assistant coach Kevin Marasco were also on site for the game. Congratulations to the seniors who got to play together one last time and represented NCS against the best seniors in the state.

🌟 Mrs. Johnson joins us as our Adventure Care Coordinator. With a diverse background in childcare and administration, she enjoys gardening, music, volleyball, and making memories with her husband, two children, and playful puppy, Lily.

❤️ Mrs. Moreno joins our Educational Services team. With master's-level training in Special Education and decades of experience, she treasures family time and enjoys baking, gardening, card games, and football season.

🍎 Mrs. Marklewitz joins our Early Childhood Center as a lead teacher. She holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in Early Childhood Education and loves spending time outdoors with her husband, NCS Athletic Director Daniel Marklewitz, and their two boys.

Today we recognize members of the girls soccer program who received postseason recognition. Highlighting the group was senior Macy Doss, who was chosen the MSHSAA Class 1 Region 4 Defensive Player of the Year. Congratulations to all of our award winners!

Our spring sports student-athletes were recently recognized for their achievements in 2026. Today we recognize the six members of our boys volleyball team who were named to the Class 1 All-District team: Elias Clooten, Ben Edwards, Kellan Frazier, John Huth, Charlie Ricker and Cole Wheeler.

Two individuals were also recognized on the state level. Ben Edwards was named to the Class 1 all-state First Team, while assistant coach Brad Scarbrough was chosen the Class 1 Assistant Coach of the Year. Stay tuned for more awards lists over the next few days. Great job Blazers!

📖 Mr. Combs joins us as our High School Bible Teacher. A Missouri Baptist University graduate, he enjoys traveling, golfing, and sharing his enthusiasm for cars.

🍎 Miss DeWitt (soon to be Mrs. Mohn!) joins us as a 2nd Grade Teacher. She holds degrees from Cornerstone University and Grand Valley State University and enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors kayaking, hiking, and biking.

🏛️ Mr. Edmondson joins our Junior High team as a History Teacher. He earned both his History Education degree and Master's in Educational Leadership from Pensacola Christian College and enjoys golfing and fishing in his free time.

🖌️ Mrs. Baldi joins us as our Junior High Art Teacher! A Missouri Western graduate with five years of teaching experience, she loves drawing, crocheting, traveling with her husband, and believes the beach is her natural habitat.

📐 Mrs. Bates joins our High School team as a Math Teacher. She holds degrees from the University of Central Missouri and Webster University and enjoys family adventures, beach vacations, coffee, and serving alongside her family at Life Church.

🧸Mrs. Cole will serve as an Early Childhood Center Aide. A Northwest Missouri State graduate and mother of three NCS students, she loves family adventures, movie nights, and trying new restaurants.
