Daniel Martinez is proud to serve as the principal of Royal Prairie Elementary and truly excited to be part of the Falcon family. With 14 years in education, his journey has taken him through five years as an elementary assistant principal, two years as an elementary principal, and three years as a middle school principal. Each step has shaped how he leads: grounded in relationships, focused on growth, and committed to doing what is best for students every single day.

Mr. Martinez earned his Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and his Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University San Antonio. He is also a co-author of Restorative Discipline Practices: A Journey of Implementation by a Community of Texas Educators, a reflection of his belief that strong relationships and accountability build better schools. His experience was further strengthened through the Harvard Leadership Program for Principals, where he refined his approach to leading with purpose and clarity.

To my staff: I believe in you. My role is to support, challenge, and grow alongside you so we can create classrooms where students thrive. To my students: you are the reason we are here. We will push you, support you, and celebrate you as you reach your full potential. To my families and community: your partnership matters. Together, we will build a school culture that feels welcoming, safe, and focused on success.

Today we had the honor of welcoming the Royal High School Class of 2026 to Royal Prairie Elementary for their senior walk! 💙🖤

Our students and staff lined the halls with cheers, smiles, and high-fives as these seniors walked through, inspiring our young learners to dream big and work hard. It was a special moment celebrating how far they’ve come and the bright futures ahead of them.

This recognition was not about perfection in implementation — it was about the effort, the desire to grow, and the commitment to building a culture of trust, safety, and connection where both staff and students were seen and valued as individuals.

We worked HARD this year, and we are BEYOND thankful to be a part of this team. Our dedication, heart, and perseverance made a difference every single day.

As a Rising Star School, RPE received a canvas to proudly display this achievement, and we already began looking ahead as we start planning for National Showcase School recognition next year. With the incredible leadership and passion guiding this work, we have no doubt we were on the right on track to make it happen!
