As we reflect on the resilience, contributions, and achievements of African Americans throughout our nation’s history, we also recognize the importance of continuing to build communities where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

May this day inspire learning, reflection, unity, and hope for a brighter future for all.

Our Katy Summer Programs are concluding their first full week with some fun! Who is the chips to your salsa?

It was a great time learning with other Katy ISD administrators at Launch 2026. The Hornet admin team is geared up for a very successful 2026-2027 school year! Have a wonderful summer!

School’s out, but healthy meals are still on the table!

FREE summer meals are back in Katy ISD beginning May 28.

Children 18 and younger can enjoy free breakfast and lunch at select Katy ISD campuses throughout the summer. Meal service dates and times vary by location, including Hutsell Elementary, Schmalz Elementary, Opportunity Awareness Center, MRHS, MCHS and PHS.

Students also have access to lunch-only service at select high school locations.
