Just a reminder to get messy with your kiddos today!
There are several benefits to messy play with exceptional children.
Most importantly PLAY is still very much needed for children it improves critical thinking skills, creative thinking, and overall fosters learning!
Exploring and play is important for a child’s fine motor skills and physical development skills.
Remember you can get messy outside too! Don’t mind the clean up it’s all worth!!
Have fun and let us know what messy activity is your favorite!
If you need any ideas let us know and we’ll send some ideas over!!

Thank you! Ria and Troop 18148 for inviting us to the Loving Me! event for the second time. Loving Me! definitely empowers, uplifts, and educate our young girls which is so needed. The girls and parents were educated on SEL and behavioral learning, breast cancer awareness, self defense, mental health with psychologist Dr. Maryam who is PHENOMENAL, Autism awareness with Natasha who has autism and a mom to two small girls with autism. Natasha is a certified parent trainer that focuses on positive discipline and so much more! That’s just a sneak peak into how amazing each and every one of the panelist were!
Shoutout to my girl Ari 🩷 who is our social media manager, hype girl, liaison, and so much more for H.S.S.C. We greatly appreciate you!

Rolling into 2024 with my exceptional kiddo out in nature! 🥶 It was 40 degree weather but we managed! This is one of his favorite ways to release those hyperactive-impulsive feelings. Things I learned:
1.Immediately purchase water rubber boots 🥾 YEP I’m getting in the creek 😅
2. It’s pretty fun to fish for crawfish
3. This is my reminder to get the outdoor social learning group started ASAP 🪵
4. A reminder for you guys to keep meeting the exceptional kids where they are even in 40 degree cold weather 😅
By the end of our session we let the 🦞 get away accidentally. He crawled away out the tackle box and my exceptional kiddo was a bit upset. So very proud of my kiddo and how he handled being disappointed about the 🦞 getting away. I can’t wait to continue to watch how we keep meeting each kid where they are through 2024!!

We love when we find a great read to use with our kiddos! This week we’ve been focusing on the POWER OF YET. With school back in session that means new environment, friends, teachers and so much more!
The Magical Yet has helped us to find our inner superhero voice and defeat the negative statements of..”I can’t”, “I am not good at this”, or “I don’t want to”.
Definitely add this book to your library!! 💛

There’s a fabulous story behind this picture! While working with one of my exceptional kiddos. We were outside in the creek sawing down trees 😅, zip lining tools from one side to the other, building trust and being reassured the tree and branches would not fall on me. Welllllll I made it out the creek with all ten fingers and ten toes 🤣. This was such an amazing session where Behavioral and SEL learning took place!
We did it outside in a natural environment learning and still crushing goals 💪🏾
SIDENOTE: These are my boots in the creek 😳😊
