Dear chemistry majors,

Dr. Preet Singh from Georgia Tech will give a seminar presentation about corrosion of pipeline steels in fuel grade ethanol on November 1st. He is the associate chair of Graduate Study at the School of Material Science and Engineering at GT. We invite students to meet with Dr. Singh right after the seminar, for questions about his research, the school of Material Science, and graduate study at GT. The scheduled meeting time is 1:30-2:30pm on November 1st.

The election meeting will be held TODAY March 30, 2016 at 5:30 in room CL 1009. The positions that are available are president, vice president, treasurer, events planner, and outreach coordinator. A brief description of the positions is provided below. Look over them and come to the meeting knowing the positions you might like to obtain. Keep in mind that officers that participate in club activities will be paid for to go to the spring ACS meeting.

Office Positions:

President: Delegate work amongst club members and officers and coordinate all of the club events and meetings.

Vice President: end of the year report and fill in when the president is unavailable.

Treasurer: Handle candle sales, keep study guides stocked in chemistry office.

Events Planner: Plan/organize events and coordinate volunteers.

Outreach Coordinator: Contact prospective professional development speakers and outreach opportunities and informing student body about events.
