Here's to all the dads and father figures lifting up the next generation. The lessons you teach at home lay the foundation for everything learned in the classroom and beyond.
Happy Father's Day from all of us at KTEC Schools of Innovation! ๐

Learning about history helps students better understand the world they are preparing to lead. Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in Texas learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. We recognize this important milestone and the lessons it continues to teach about freedom, resilience, and progress.

A special thank you to KTEC Governance Board Member Lisa Marshall, NC3 - National Coalition of Certification Centers Program Manager, and her husband, Jack, for generously sharing their time, expertise, and guidance as we continue preparing our new campus. Their support is helping create an incredible learning environment where students will gain the skills they need for future careers!
It truly takes a community to build opportunities, and we couldn't do it without partners like Lisa and Jack. Thank you for investing in the future of KTEC students!

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Kreuser's class recently completed their exciting Human Body module in PLTW with Mrs. Hodges!
Throughout the unit, students discovered what makes each of them unique while exploring the structure and function of the body's inner parts. They became young scientists by building and testing model lungs and even created their own hand "x-rays" to better understand bones. The class also connected their learning to literature by reading a story about a girl who broke her arm and needed an x-ray and a cast.
Inspired by the story, students completed a fun and creative final project, designing casts that were strong, comfortable, lightweight, and water-resistant. Their "patients"? Their very own teddy bears!
What a wonderful way to bring science, creativity, and problem-solving together.
