50 kids. 2 nights. One unforgettable camp experience ποΈ
Yesterday we floated lazily down the Sugar River, enjoying the sunshine, the water, and some well-earned downtime together.
Over the course of the trip, students worked as a team to cook meals, set up and take down tents, and take on every part of camp life at Camp Sweet Minihaha. There was plenty of laughter, problem-solving, and moments that turned into memories.
A lot was packed into just two nights, and everyone is heading home tired, proud, and ready for a good rest.

Our Purposeful Creations students had an incredible day at Maxilyn House, a local crafters' co-op, where they worked alongside five talented makers to learn new skills and create unique handmade items.
Students made wax melts, tried needle felting, wove potholders, designed string art, and even used sewing machines to create butterfly magnets. Many shared that it was one of their favorite experiences of the Intensive!
Don't forget to stop by the Purposeful Creations Pop-Up Shop today (Wednesday) from 10:45β11:30 a.m. in Room 222. Student-made crafts will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting the Shalom Center and Walkin' In My Shoes.
We hope to see you there! π¨π§΅π―οΈπ

The Coffee CREW intensive took a quick detour from the bean to the leaf today! We had the pleasure of hosting Southport Tea, who stepped into our coffee-centric world to show us how the other half brews. Students learned how tea is harvested and processed, explored how different tea-growing regions shape unique flavor profiles, and why high-quality, whole loose leaf is the only way to go for a true flavor experience. Students also got to taste the magic in action. Southport Tea brewed up two incredible loose-leaf selections for us: Dragonwell (green tea) and Lapsang Souchong (black tea).
Huge thanks to Southport Tea for hanging out with us and expanding our palates. Harborside students can receive a 10% discount at Southport Tea by presenting their student IDs at the time of purchase!

Our Spring Intensive group, Purposeful Creations, has been hard at work learning new crafting skills as they prepare for their pop-up shop on Wednesday, June 10, from 10:45β11:30 a.m. in Room 222.
On day one, students glazed magnets at Alpaca Art and also learned from local entrepreneur (and Harborside teacher) Theresa Woods of Blissfully Bottles by Theresa. They had a great time creating their own decorative bottles and exploring the creative process behind small business work.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit a local charity or organization chosen by the students.
We hope you'll stop by and support their creativity for a cause! π¨β¨
