Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, father figures, and mentors in the Carthage community! Thank you for the encouragement, guidance, and support you provide every day. Today, we celebrate the impact you make on the lives of those around you.

This week's highlights James Lawton '80, who graduated from Carthage with a triple major in international business, Latin American studies, and Spanish while participating in the cross country and track as a distance runner.
After graduation Mr.Lawton worked as a medical interpreter for Cuban refugees before transitioning to the education field as a school social worker, substitute teacher, cross country and track coach, and bilingual special education administrator. “I’ve been able to apply my Carthage studies to all the career opportunities in my life, from interpreter to school social worker to school administrator.” said Mr. Lawton
