Ruth Harman Academy

Middle schoolers had their Fourth Quarter Incentive this week; they went to a restaurant of their choosing (Culver's, McDonalds, or Taco Bell), played at Red Arrow Park and Anderson Park, and enjoyed Kona Ice. Beginning with the end in mind (Habit 2) and putting first things first (Habit 3) helped students achieve those quarterly goals! Congrats on a job well done!

Yesterday our kindergarten and first grade girls delivered a small care package of supplies to the school. Thank you for your generous donation we sincerely appreciate it!

Mrs. Patty Begotka dedicated over 45 years to education. Her passion for the school was undeniable, but her passion for the success of her students was exemplified each day, not only in her own conduct, but in the continuation of her values through the countless children she nurtured and impacted over those years. She left a legacy of stewardship, dedication, and passion. This leadership award goes to one 8th grade student who has mirrored her dedication and leadership. Congrats Eleni!

Congrats to Eva! Eva has received the Daughters of the American Revolution Youth Leadership Award. This award recognizes Eva for demonstrating the qualities of honor, service, leadership, patriotism, courage, and dependability in her school, community, and home.

Ruth Harman Academy is a Leader in Me Lighthouse school. The Leader in Me teaches LEADERSHIP to every student, creates a CULTURE of student empowerment, and aligns systems to drive results in our ACADEMICS. Students were awarded for consistently exhibiting these habits.

Two eighth graders are chosen to receive the Kenosha Junior Woman's Club Citizenship Award every year. These students are chosen based on observations of their character, service, and leadership; they consistently show respect for classmates and staff, use acceptable language, treat others fairly, show honest behavior and respect, and display enthusiasm for learning. We would like to congratulate Owen and Jiabei!

Join our soon-to-be eighth graders for a fun Culver’s Night and help support their upcoming Washington D.C. trip! On June 22nd from 5:00–8:00 p.m., 15% of all sales will be donated directly toward their travel expenses. Bring your family and friends, enjoy a delicious meal, and help our students make unforgettable memories in our nation's capital!

With only a few days remaining in our ABC Countdown, students are making the most of every theme day! On Wednesday, many students participated in our Twin/Triplet Day and showed off their school spirit and creativity while enjoying the excitement of counting down the final days of the school year. It's been great to see so many smiles as we make lasting memories together before summer break!
