Our teachers are already preparing for the upcoming year by attending Professional Development!

Last week Ms. Salvato and 9 of our teachers attended training on the Orton Gillingham approach to teaching reading!

This training was provided through our partnership with the and is the next step in continuing our efforts in becoming an Orton Gillingham K-5 Model School!

Last week our very own Dr. Gonzalez and Mrs. Garcia joined Dr. Mark Shanoff, Superintendent Osceola School District in providing an update on the student success that is possible through the use of the Orton Gillingham (OG) approach to teaching reading.

They both had great success in their Kindergarten classrooms last year, so they had a great deal to share!

Year one of becoming an OG K-5 Model School....COMPLETE!

Next year we will roll out the same approach in our 1st grade classrooms!

It’s the perfect chance for students to get comfortable, meet their teachers, and feel confident for the first day of school on August 10.

Students must demonstrate ROAR Expectations this week to attend both the Splash & Dash activities.

Students are allowed to dress down. Please see below for items they should bring with them.
