Our Mission: To Give Children the Opportunity to Achieve Their Maximum Potential

The Achievement Academy serves children from birth through age five through two distinct programs. Our Birth to Three program provides one-on-one early intervention services in the family’s home. An early interventionist works with the child and family to set goals for the child’s development and demonstrates activities for parents to incorporate in their child’s day. Our Charter School has three

Balance, coordination, and confidence in motion!

Elise worked with Ms. Trista on balance and gross motor skills by walking across the balance beam and throwing a ball through the basketball hoop. Activities like these help strengthen core muscles, improve coordination, support motor planning, and build body awareness. And of course, celebrating every basket makes therapy even more fun!

Ellie and Brody had a blast setting up domino tiles with Ms. Susan, an activity that encourages exploration, problem-solving, creativity, and patience. Carefully placing each tile also helps strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and finger control that support important everyday tasks like writing, cutting, and self-help skills.

And of course… the best part is watching them all tumble down!

Jordan and Ian worked together with Ms. Baker to complete an oversized puzzle, which helps build fine motor skills, visual perception, spatial awareness, and critical thinking. Puzzles also encourage communication, cooperation, patience, and persistence as our students learn to work together toward a shared goal.

Every piece helps build important skills for learning and growing!

Alani worked hard on going up and down the stairs more independently in Physical Therapy. To keep things fun and motivating, Ms. Katie incorporated fine motor activities chosen by Alani along the way to combine movement, coordination, balance, and play into every session!

During Speech Therapy with Ms. Carrie, Charlie used her eye-gaze assistive communication device to interact, make choices, and express herself in meaningful ways. Eye-gaze technology helps children build communication, strengthen attention and engagement, increase independence, and create connections with the world around them.

Moments like these remind us that communication comes in many forms and every success is worth celebrating!

There’s so much more happening during story time than turning pages!

Charlie is building language and vocabulary skills by identifying animals in the story while reading with Ms. Stacey during the school year. Activities like this help strengthen attention, listening comprehension, expressive communication, memory, and early literacy skills while creating a love of books and learning.

Every page is an opportunity to grow!

Emilia is hard at work with Ms. Katie in Physical Therapy as she practices weight-shifting from side to side while singing “The Ants Go Marching!” Through fun, movement-based activities like this, she is building the coordination, balance, and strength needed for stepping over obstacles and navigating stairs more independently. We love celebrating every step toward greater confidence and independence!
